Stuart Randolph Curran, 58, loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in San Francisco, California.

Born on February 23, 1964 in Bethesda, Maryland to Roger D. Curran and Nancy (Randolph) Curran, Stuart received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Gettysburg College in 1986. He was a member of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. Stuart earned a J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1992 and practiced law for many years, mainly with the firm of Misciagna and Colombatto.

Known for his quick wit and compassion­ate spirit, Stuart was a man of many talents. Music was the true passion of his life. He was an accomplish­ed guitarist to which he could add a fine singing voice. Stuart wrote music and spent many hours playing in sessions with other guitar enthusiast­s. Occasional­ly, a group to which he belonged, Last Free Men, appeared in small clubs in the area.

Stuart also loved sports and reading. His lifelong favorite sports team was the Baltimore Orioles. The story is told that at one point while growing up he listened to at least a portion of every O’s baseball game played that year. Later he became a loyal San Francisco Warriors fan. Stuart read extensivel­y on a wide range of subjects, a pastime that brought him great pleasure.

In addition to his parents, Stuart is survived by his sister Laura (Kurt) Kiffmeyer,

nieces Brenna (David) Leonard, Erin (James) Paul, and Katheryn (Max) Lowrie; cousins Katherine (Robert) Fry and John (Erica) Randolph; and former spouse of 11 years Millicent Curran.

A service of remembranc­e will be held in February 2023.
