Ohio St. rallies for 28 in 4th to beat Penn St.

J.T. Tuimoloau had a strip sack to set up No. 2 Ohio State for a touchdown and then had a pick-six for the Buckeyes, who scored 28 points in the fourth quarter to erase a deficit and beat No. 13 Penn State 44-31 on Saturday in State College, Pa.

C.J. Stroud found his groove for Ohio State in the fourth and finished with 354 yards passing as the Buckeyes (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) ran their winning streak in the rivalry to six — none by more than 13 points.

The Nittany Lions (6-2, 3-2) went up 21-16 with 9:26 remaining in the fourth quarter on a 1yard touchdown run by Kaytron Allen on fourth down.

Ohio State outscored Penn State 28-3 the rest of the way. Penn State quarterbac­k Sean Clifford threw for 371 yards and three touchdowns, but committed four turnovers.

Max Duggan threw three touchdown passes, Kendre Miller ran for 120 yards and a score and No. 7 TCU used big plays on offense to beat host West Virginia 41-31 to remain unbeaten . ... Brandon Joseph returned an intercepti­on 29 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the game, tailback Audric Estimé rushed for 123 yards and scored twice in the fourth quarter to thwart a Syracuse rally, and visiting Notre Dame defeated the No. 16 Orange 41-24.

Auger-Aliassime defeats No. 1 Alcaraz

Felix Auger-Aliassime extended his perfect record against top-ranked Carlos Alcaraz by winning 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinals at the Swiss Indoors.

The ninth-ranked Canadian improved to 3-0 against the U.S. Open champion and ran his overall win streak to 12 matches in October.

Alcaraz created the first break-point chance faced by Auger-Aliassime all week in Basel, but could not take it in what proved to be the final game.

Auger-Aliassime clinched with a service winner and will seek his third straight title in Sunday's final against another 19-year-old, Holger Rune.

Rune, who is ranked No. 25 though is unseeded in Basel, advanced to the final after beating sixth-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut 7-6 (1), 7-6 (6).

Soccer: Kevin de Bruyne's perfectly-struck free kick was enough to overcome the absence of Erling Haaland as Manchester City rose to first place in the English Premier League with a 1-0 win at Leicester . ... Golf: Jordan Smith will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the European tour's Portugal Masters after staying atop the leaderboar­d for a third straight day. The Englishman shot 9-under-par 62 after eagling the par-4 15th hole and making eight birdies to go with a sole bogey.

Gavin Green of Malaysia, who shared the lead with Smith entering the day, is still his nearest chaser after his 64.

NHL: Zac Jones and Julien Gauthier scored 19 seconds apart in the third period after Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger exited with an injury, and the New York Rangers beat the host Stars 6-3.

Vincent Trocheck had two goals, including the last in a three-goal third period for New York and fourth against Scott Wedgewood, who replaced Oettinger in the second.
