Gerald Stephen Garibaldi

August 16, 1931 - October 16, 2022

Passed away in San Francisco after 91 years of life. Preceded in death by his parents, Gio Batta and Margaret Garibaldi, his sister Ruth (Garibaldi) Lembi and his nephew Jeffrey Morrison. Survived by his sister, Carole (Ed) Morrison. Also survived by his brother-in-law Rich Lembi Christina (Henry) Cooper, Johnathan (Maria) Morrison and Rich, Matthew, and Keith (Siobhan) Lembi and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gerald’s father and uncles were the founders of the University Mound Greenhouses in the Portola district and he was a strong advocate for preserving the last undeveloped block of greenhouses. Graduate of Lick-Wilmerding Class of 1949. Longtime employee of Hostess, Stemple, and Rich Pies. Member of Teamsters Union Local #853.

Forty-niner faithful. Memorial Mass at St. Elizabeth Church, 459 Somerset Street, San Francisco at 10:00 am on November 12th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of the Presentation 2340 Turk Street, San Francisco, CA 94118 or the charity of your choice.
