Barbara Lones

July 20, 1926 - October 6, 2022

On Thursday, October 6, 2022, Barbara Sue Lones passed away in her sleep at Aegis Assisted Living in South San Francisco. She was ninety-six years old; born on July 20, 1926; survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Karen and Bill Robotka and Susan and Joseph Fanucchi; her three grandchildren Kelly, Christopher, and Scott and his spouse, Megan; and her four great grandchildren, Giovanni, Dante, CeCe (Clayton), and Kensi.

Barbara was married to Samuel (Sam) Hugh Lones, for fifty-eight years before his passing in 2002. She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho; married in Jacksonville, Florida; raised their children in San Francisco; and lived in Millbrae for forty-six years before moving into Aegis five years ago.

She worked at PacBell for twenty-eight years; had many wonderful friends from the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge CA No. 1, PEO of Millbrae, and the San Bruno Senior Center.

Barbara and Sam enjoyed traveling, their timeshare in Puerto Vallarta, touring the US in their fifth-wheel trailer; and being with family and friends. She knew how to enjoy life, and shared that joy with others.

A memorial service will be held for Barbara on November 5th, 1 PM at Crosby N. Gray Funeral Home, 2 Park Road, Burlingame, CA.
