Our beloved mother. Forever in our hearts.

Marilyn Marcella Roche passed away October 18, 2022 with family by her side. Marilyn is survived by her husband Horace DeCarvalho of San Francisco, her children Mary Lynn Levesque of Sebastopol, Stephen Roche (Adriene) of San Rafael, Sharon Turner (Chris) of Grass Valley, 12 grandchild­ren, 17 great grandchild­ren, her sisters Diane Hession and Shirley Brignoli, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Florence Hopkins, her first husband Maurice Roche, her son Robert Roche, and her brothers Leslie and Jack Hopkins.

Marilyn was born on November 6, 1930 in San Francisco. She grew up in the Sunset District. She attended St. Anne’s Grammar School and Presentati­on High School.

Marilyn married Maurice Roche, together they had 4 children. They moved to Daly City and raised their family. She was a bank teller for 27 years. After Maurice’s death, she married Horace DeCarvalho. They were very active in the Carmelite Community of Our Lady of Mercy.

Marilyn’s loves included God, her large family, her dogs, gardening, and food especially ice cream. She enjoyed spending summers at the Russian River.

May you rest in everlastin­g peace at the table of our Lord, united with family and friends who have gone before you. You are missed by all who know and love you.

Services will be held on November 8th at Duggan’s Mortuary from 4-8pm, with the Rosary at 6pm. November 9th a funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
