It is 70 years since the phone rang on that Saturday night. I was standing near the phone, Our sister answered it and starting crying, she handed the phone to our mother and she Began to cry. You had been in an automobile accident. Being very young I was left with family members and our parents and our sister went to see you in the hospital. The next morning I was told I no longer had a brother. Our parents lost a large piece of themselves that they never got back. They went on bravely the rest of their lives, but the empty spot in their hearts was always there.

I was nine years younger but you were a wonderful big brother to me.

You took me to so many places with you, I knew all of your friends. There is not a day that passes that I do not think of you. You will always be missed.
