Barbara Marie Pulizzano

Barbara Marie Pulizzano passed away unexpected­ly and peacefully on December 9, 2022. Barbara was surrounded by her children as she left this world for her heavenly journey.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Mel, her parents Vincent and Esther Boylan and sister Bernice Ehni. She is survived by her three children Michael (Art), Melinda Moorley (Phil) and Mitchell (Hortencia). Adored by her grandchild­ren, Michael Miller (Deb), Lisa Geniali (Anthony) and Paul Pulizzano. Cherished by her great grandchild­ren, Zachary and Vivian Miller, Giada and Evangelina Geniali. She will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Joseph Pulizzano, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Barbara was born February 9, 1929 in San Francisco. She attended Horace Mann Middle School and Mission High School Class of 1948.

Barbara and Mel were married March 10, 1951 in Reno, Nevada at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church. They moved to Tenth Avenue in the Richmond District where they raised their family.

Barbara accepted a position at Sears Roebuck located on Masonic Ave. She loved working in the drapery department and serving customers until she retired.

Barbara and Mel were active members of the San Francisco Elks Lodge #3. They also were members of the British American Club. Barbara was a proud Native Daughter of the Golden West-Darina Parlor #114.

The Vigil will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church 1555 39th Avenue San Francisco on Monday, December 19, 2022 - Visitation at 6:00pm, Rosary at 7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 11:00am.

Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Greater San Francisco Bay Area, 2290 North First Street Suite 101, San Jose, CA 95131
