Alma Marie Bisordi

Alma Marie Bisordi, 93 years old, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 21, 2022. Alma was born in San Francisco, on February 3, 1929 to Virgilio and Armanda Pieretti, who immigrated from Italy.

Alma met her husband Alfred “AL” Bisordi in 1946. They were married on November 16, 1947 in San Francisco. They were married for 51 years. Al preceded her in death, as well as her son Michael. She was the oldest remaining sibling, preceded by her brothers, Marino, Nino and her sister Vanda.

Alma is survived by her loving children, daughter, Susan Vickery and her husband Jim, and her son James Bisordi and his wife Carol.

Alma loved and adored all her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren. Alma leaves behind seven grandchild­ren, Jennifer Romm, Stephen Bisordi and his wife Quinn, Christophe­r Vickery and his wife Stephanie, Monica Orrell and her husband Frank, Matt Bisordi and his wife Ann, James Bisordi and his wife Kitty, and Jaclyn O’Rourke, and her husband Phoenix. Alma was fortunate to have sixteen great grandchild­ren, Dylan, Marea, Melia, Miana, Kaia, Oilver, Mykah, Elliott, Simon,Lexington, Lennox, JJ, Madison, Dominic Phoenix, Paxton and soon another great granddaugh­ter, Aria due in March.

Alma was employed for 22 years at the University of California School of Dentistry as an Xray Technician, retiring in 1989 and was very proud of her profession. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, baking, and Hallmark movies! One of her baking specialtie­s was making Pizzelles, which she did for many of her grandchild­ren’s weddings. To many of her great grandchild­ren she was known as “Grandma Tea Party” as she hosted many tea parties for them at her home.

Alma leaves behind family and friends that will miss her dearly. She will live forever in our hearts and our memories. A special thank you to Rose Durrett, who was her devoted caregiver and friend over the past year.

The Rosary will be held at 7pm on Monday, January 23rd followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10am on Tuesday, January 24th. Both services will be held at Sneider & Sullivan & O’Connell’s Funeral Home in San Mateo. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA. Fr. Mark Reburiano from St. Gregory Church will officiate the services.
