Ronald G. Boyer, age 90, passed away peacefully after a very long illness, in his home in Portola Valley, CA on November 15.

Born in Portland, Oregon, to Lucy M. McMahon and William F. Boyer, Ron graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland, earned a BS in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University.

At Stanford, he was President of Kappa Sigma fraternity and pitched for Stanford baseball.

After school, he received a Direct Commission from the Army Finance Corp. After working in marketing and management, he joined Coldwell Banker Real Estate in Palo Alto selling commercial real estate. Over the years, he was promoted numerous times, transferri­ng between San Jose and San Francisco offices where he ended his career as Senior Vice President of Coldwell Banker & Company.

Throughout his life he excelled in sports. He was tennis champion and two years, Jefferson High top scoring football running back in High School and Stanford handball champion. He was an avid tennis player and swimmer at Alpine Swim & Tennis Club in Portola Valley and the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

He married his wife and soul mate of 62 years, Loriene M. Boyer, in 1955. Together they had 3 daughters. They resided in La Mirada, San Mateo and finally Portola Valley, CA where he lived for 51 years. He and his family were passionate about the outdoors enjoying activities together like camping, skiing both water and snow, backpackin­g, fishing and sailing.

He is survived by his three daughters, Karen Boyer of San Carlos, Cathy Boyer of Redwood City and Rhonda Lukich and her husband Jim Lukich of Bend, Oregon. He has one granddaugh­ter Alexandra Lukich of Portland, OR.
