Thomas Louis Leserman passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tom was born on September 10, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Palisades High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the UC Davis College of Engineerin­g and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineerin­g from Carnegie Mellon University. Tom began his career at Westinghou­se and retired in 2019 after a long and successful career at Pacific Gas and Electric.

Tom was a devoted husband and father and took great pride in his family’s activities and accomplish­ments. He loved spending quality time with his family and was actively involved in raising his children, Jennifer and Steven. His wife Kym was his inspiratio­n and the love of his life. He also enjoyed tennis, cycling, hiking, and traveling with his family and friends, and was an active volunteer in his community. Tom will be remembered by everyone who knew him for his generosity to others and for his selfless caring for his family. His positive outlook and sense of humor will never be forgotten. He brought happiness to everyone whose life he touched.

Tom is survived by his wife Kym, his children Jennifer and Steven, his mother Jean, brothers James (Amy), Richard (Carolyn), and Andrew (Kim), in-laws Caxton Rhodes (Dominique), Jennifer Payne (John), and Duncan Rhodes, along with their children and grandchild­ren, and many dear friends. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Frederick. He will be truly missed.

Plans for a celebratio­n of his life will be confirmed soon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
