Lynn Elizabeth (Sullivan) Lee, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2023, at the age of 80.

A native San Franciscan, Lynn was raised in the Mission District alongside her sister Mary and many cousins. You would often find them singing or dancing together at Sunday dinners, and they enjoyed vacationing at Russian River. She attended St. Peter’s Academy from 1st – 12th grade and graduated in 1960. Lynn’s devotion to St. Peter’s and her classmates was unwavering.

After school she was an executive secretary at Metropolitan Life Insurance, and then at Hills Brothers Coffee for 6 years. Later in life she realized her passion was teaching, so she pursued her Early Childhood Certificate at SF State and taught at Forest Hill Christian Nursery School for 16 years.

Lynn’s children attended St. Anne School, where she was very involved as a parent and parishioner. Everything from St. Patrick’s Day dinner dances, Girls Scouts, to fundraisers and the kids’ games, she was there. She touched the lives of many in her community, and wherever she went it was inevitable that someone would recognize her and say hello!

Lynn was an avid sports fan, especially of the Giants and Warriors. She would attend Giants games regularly with family and friends and tried not to miss opening or closing day. She enjoyed taking daily walks around Stow Lake with the “Magnificent Eight,” and spent many mornings there having her coffee and chatting on the park benches afterwards

Lynn dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren and we are forever grateful. She was a friend and caregiver to so many throughout her life. Her spirit, strength and love will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry, and their five children, Carl (Aurora), David (Eva), Laura, Elizabeth (Hung) and Thomas (Adrienne). Beloved grandmother to Jessica, Ashley, Sophia, Hallie, Majika, Nicole, Lawrence, Maverick, Ryker and Deklan.

The family would like to thank Lynn’s caregivers, Avi Cakau and Leticia Banares, for their compassionate care and kindness over the last year and a half.

Friends may visit Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at St. Anne of the Sunset Church, 850 Judah Street, San Francisco, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 16th at 10:30 am at St. Anne of the Sunset Church. If you wish to make a donation in Lynn’s name, the family suggests St. Peter’s or the SF-Marin Food Bank.
