San Francisco Chronicle - (Sunday)
Noreen Elizabeth Romero
Noreen Elizabeth Romero was born in San Francisco on September 21st, 1937. She remained a native San Franciscan all of her life and was proud to call The City her home. She loved telling stories of growing up with her siblings and what a great place it was to explore, especially Golden Gate Park. She loved the fact that dressing up to go downtown was the norm and admired all the grand old theaters and unique architecture the City had.
She successfully raised 7 children, whom she loved and was proud of equally, as they all have their own personalities and are good individuals. Her children are all well and living their lives to the fullest. In order of their ages they are, Richard A. Bryan Jr., Mark A. Bryan, James A. Bryan, Veronica C. Bryan, Joanne E. Romero, Bob L. Romero, and Karen E. O’Malley
She is survived by her sisters, Pat and Irene, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
After raising her children, she entered back into the workforce first at Hastings College of Law, and then at U.C.S.F. hospital, where she retired from after 20 years.
Once retired she enjoyed having BBQ’s and spending time with her ever growing family of children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She loved watching classic movies, Jeopardy and The Price is Right. She was an ardent SF Giants fan, thru thick and thin and watched every game played. She loved the broadcasting of Kruk and Kuip, and would turn off the volume if it was anyone else.
A Celebration of Life honoring Noreen will be announced at a later date.
