James Anthony Redmond
January 30, 1968 - February 27, 2023
Resident of Danville, CA James Anthony Redmond passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 27th. This loss was utterly unexpected, leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened. He has touched many lives with his gentle spirit and willingness to lend a hand to anyone. James will be truly missed in so many ways.
James was born in Queens, New York, where his parents, James Conrad and Elizabeth Casey Redmond, emigrated from Dublin, Ireland. Shortly thereafter, James’ family moved to Fremont, California, where he attended Moreau Catholic High School. He then earned his bachelor’s degree at Cal State East Bay. He later attended Golden Gate University, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration. James has been a devoted Bank of America employee for close to 25 years. As a Senior Vice President in the Leasing Group, he formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with.
James was determined to provide for his family and give them the life they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he proudly and often mentioned.
In James’ free time, he enjoyed coaching Little League and travel baseball for his son Connor as well as being the Treasurer for Troop 916 of Pleasanton, California, for his son Colby. He continued the role as Treasurer even after Colby achieved his Eagle Scout Rank and aged out of Boy Scouts. Jim was often found on the sidelines, in the stands, on a campout or wherever his boys or family needed him to be. Always available and there in their times of need or support. James is survived by his wife Sandee, and his two sons, Connor and Colby. He is also survived by his brother David Redmond (Maria), nephew Seamus of Manteca, and loving mother, Elizabeth Redmond of Manteca. James is preceded in death by his father, James Conrad Redmond. Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, March 20th 11am at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of James Anthony Redmond.
