Ron Paiva departed this world on March 8th, 2023, two days after his 70th birthday, which he celebrated at home surrounded by some of his loved ones. He is finally at peace, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was born on March 6, 1953 in San Francisco, California to Richard and Florence Paiva. He was the only son and the eldest of four children. Ever since he was a young boy he always loved being outdoors in nature. Growing up he could often be found exploring the San Bruno Mountains with his best friend from childhood, often bringing back home reptiles and other animal friends they found on their adventures. He attended El Camino High School in South San Francisco where he played football, and later attended Cañada College. During college he worked for Bryson Roofing and later had an opportunity to acquire the business. Ron jumped at the opportunity and successfully ran the business until his final days. He was passionate and proud of his work and built lifelong friendships with many of his clients and vendors.

Ron always had an adventurous spirit. He was full of life and made it a point to enjoy life to the fullest. He had a variety of interests and enjoyed many hobbies, such as: fishing, hunting, boating, gardening, attending concerts, cycling, bocce ball, watching and attending sporting events. He also enjoyed traveling and Mexico was one of his favorite destinations. Ron got to enjoy one last very special trip to Mexico with his daughter in October of 2022.

Ron was a proud member of the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County and Peninsula Italian American Social Club.

Ron is lovingly reunited in heaven with his parents. He is survived by and will be missed dearly by his daughter Cristina, his former wife Anna, and his three younger sisters: Joanne Seaver, Carol Jiampetti, and Sharon Polli, along with nieces Jeena Jiampetti, Gianna Beard and nephew John Polli.

A Memorial Mass will be held in Ron’s honor on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 3 pm at St. Gregory Catholic Church in San Mateo, with a reception immediately following Mass at the Peninsula Italian American Social Club in San Mateo.

Cristina and the Paiva family would like to extend their sincere thanks for the outpour of love and support they have received during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LymeLight Foundation in Burlingame, or a charity of your choice.
