Carolyn Jenny (Carter) was born in Hollywood, CA and spent her early years there with her parents and 5 siblings. Prior to her birth, her family migrated from South Dakota, where they were ranchers before the Dust Bowl.

Health issues brought her to live with her aunt and uncle in Hillsborough, CA during her early 20s, and she quickly fell in love with the rolling hills and blankets of fog over the nearby SF Bay. She also eventually fell in love with Robert “Bob” Jenny - a flight engineer for American Airlines. Together they had three children: Steve, Ken and Lynda, and together they built their dream home in Hillsborough on Skyfarm Drive.

Carolyn was a passionate educator and spent 30+ years as a teacher’s aide at Crocker School in Hillsborough and Borel Junior High in San Mateo. She had many fond memories of helping students and encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Carolyn was a devout Christian and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame (now BurlPres) since 1950, where she met and then celebrated her marriage to Bob in 1952. Her husband preceded her in death in 2001, and together they now rest in peace in the beautiful prayer garden at BurlPres.

Carolyn is survived by her brother Ron, sister Betty, son Steve, daughter Lynda, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her Memorial Service on April 1 at 1PM in Burlpres Church Chapel, 1500 Easton Drive, Burlingame with reception to follow at same location.
