Jaren F. Leet
December 24, 1937 - March 28, 2023
Jaren Forest Leet, a resident of Rossmoor in Walnut Creek since 2011, died peacefully on March 28th, with his children by his side.
Jaren was born in Montclair New Jersey on December 24, 1937 to Jack and Irene Leet. After attending Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, he went on to graduate from Stanford University in 1959. He then joined the military and was stationed at Fort Huachuca in southern Arizona, where he served in the Military Intelligence’s U-2 program. After the military, Jaren founded the company that would become Aqua Media, supplying ultrapure water to the semiconductor industry and became an avid sailor, competing in numerous international regattas over his life.
A Yankee heritage shone bright in Jaren. His attitude and optimism provided opportunities and adventures he would otherwise not have enjoyed. Jaren left his mark on the water business and everywhere he lived or visited, he made life-long friends and enjoyed fun and comradery with many within his circle of professional and sailing interests.
