Ann Marie Pudlow passed into the hands of the Lord at home on the morning of Sunday, January 7, after lengthy illnesses.

Born in Oakland, Ann graduated from Sacred Heart School (class of 1945) and Holy Names High School (class of 1949). She then worked at Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company (Northern California Coin and Special) as an accounting secretary in San Francisco. She met Walter Pudlow at a KRB dance and they were married for nearly 56 years. They bought a home in the Sunset District, raised their family, and were lifelong parishioners of Holy Name of Jesus Church. Born to Michael and Julia Devlin, and sister to Michael Joseph Devlin, she retained a love and deep knowledge of Irish lore throughout her life. She was an accomplished Irish Set Dancer and spoke some of her parent’s native Gaelic.

A lover of music, books, mysteries, and art, Ann was an accomplished piano player as well as a creative seamstress who enjoyed working on crafts and sewing projects. Compassionate and loving toward all, she volunteered her time over the years at school events, sports events, Girl Scouts, and the Presentation High School cafeteria. As a sports enthusiast, she followed local soccer and Gaelic football leagues, as well Notre Dame football, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Golden State Warriors. Ever faithful, Ann never missed daily mass on EWTN or the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Ann was the heart of the home. Just shy of her 92nd birthday, she was the beloved mother of her daughters Teresa (David) Noce and Carol Pudlow; and the adored Grammi of Mark (Laurel) Noce and Valerie (Tisin) Panicker; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rosalie Devlin of Rossmoor; numerous nieces and nephews, and “The Cousins.” She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Pudlow; and her son, Jeffrey Pudlow.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt love and appreciation to all those who cared for Ann, both in and out of the home, and the By the Bay hospice team of Victoria Wilkinson RN and Dr. Michelle Nichols.

Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, you can celebrate Ann by having a Mass said or by donating to your favorite charity.

We love you. Rest in Peace. Until we meet again.
