The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign veteran guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal.

Tomlinson was a firstround pick by the Lions in 2015 out of Duke and has started 114 consecutive games. Tomlinson, the 28th overall pick, fell out of favor in Detroit after just two seasons and was traded to the 49ers, with whom he developed into a consistent starter.

Seattle had a close-up look at Tomlinson during the five seasons he spent as a starter in San Francisco. Tomlinson was a Pro Bowl selection in his final year with the 49ers in 2021.

Tomlinson signed a three-year, $40 million with the Jets before the 2022 season but was released in February.
