Niese OK after heart irregularity
Mets pitcher Jonathon Niese was checked by doctors Monday and said he was OK after experiencing an irregular heartbeat while running the bases in his win against the Cardinals on Sunday night at Citi Field.
Niese said he expects to have a procedure called an ablation at the All-Star break, but doesn’t expect to miss any playing time.
Niese felt the same thing with his heart during a game last year and later wore a heart monitor on the bench.
