At rest, Noël Lee Christian, who left us on April 26th to be with all her loved ones, family and friends who had gone on before her. Born to Norma and David Christian on December 23, 1925, Noël was a proud native San Franciscan who moved to Sausalito after the death of her beloved Mother in 1986. She had graduated from Lowell High School and prior to entry at UCLA, she worked for the FBI for several months. She attended UCLA for three years and belonged to the Tri-Delta Sorority. She then worked briefly for the State of California and returned to UCBerkeley, graduating with a B.A. in Psychology in 1950. She was then employed at UCSF where she worked for 35 years, retiring as Director of Employee Relations in 1985. She loved to travel and did so extensivel­y throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico and the USA with her dear friend and companion of 61 years, Aspasia Downey, who passed away in 2003. Noël is survived by her sister, Carol Christian Marvel (Clifford) of Lodi, CA, niece Christie Atkinson-Myers of Woodland, CA, nephews David Atkinson (Kathy), of Stockton, CA, Douglas Atkinson (Chrys) of El Dorado Hills, and Duncan Atkinson of Lodi, CA., Seven Grandniece­s and nephews and two greatgrand nephews.. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Diane Murray Christian and brother David Christian Jr., and her beloved pet, Caux-faux. At her request no formal service will be held but the family invites all who knew and loved Noël to join us on July 22, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Spinaker Restaurant in Sausalito to say farewell to our dear one.
