-

Was born to Guy and Marion Turner on October 5, 1958 in Kirkwood, Mo and passed away on June 2, 2012 in San Rafael. The youngest of four children, Tom lived in Kirkwood until the age of fourteen when he moved with his parents to Laurie, MO. on the Lake of the Ozarks. After graduating from Versailles High School in 1977, Tom attended Tulsa University graduating in 1981 with a BS in business administration. While at TU, Tom joined the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity where he developed close friendships with several brothers that he maintained throughout his life. After graduation, he was employed by Getty Oil Company in Tulsa for two years, and during this period he attained an MBA degree from TU and also received his CPA license. In 1984, Tom accepted a position with Pacific Enterprises Oil Company in Tulsa and a year later married Dana Faletti. Tom was transferred to Los Angeles in 1988 where he and Dana lived until they divorced in 1991. Tom moved to the Bay Area in 1993 and was married to Jasmine Kim in 1994. That same year he began working for Ernst & Young and stayed with them until 1998 when he accepted a position with Zia Information Analysis. Two years later Tom began his own business specializing in consulting services to the regulated sector of the energy transportation industry. Over the next five years, he accepted two partners into the business. Erik Wetmore joined the company in 2002 and Brett Collins joined in 2005 resulting in the company name that remains today: Turner Wetmore Collins, LLC. Tom loved the Bay Area, and over the years he and Jasmine have lived in Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Orinda and for the past four years, Marin County. He was especially partial to Sausalito, and for the past nine years kept his boat docked at Schoonmaker Marina. Tom was a great lover of the outdoors and was an avid cycler, hiker and skier (water and snow). He and Jasmine traveled extensively and had a special affinity for Maui. Tom unexpectedly suffered a massive heart attack during an 80-mile bike ride with Jasmine and close friends. He died doing something that he dearly loved. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Marion. He is survived by his father, Guy Turner Jr. of St. Charles, MO., three siblings; Guy Turner III of Edgewater, FL., Leslie Turner of St. Charles, MO., Pat Stoll(Glenn) of Collbran, CO., six nieces, two nephews and two great-nephews. He is also survived by a host of great friends and business associates. Tom’s zest for life, his gregarious and caring personality and his love for a good party will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of his life will be held at the Sausalito Yacht Club. Jasmine requests that memorial contributions be made to Marin County Bicycle Coalition (www.marinbike.org). A special thanks to the 3 RNs and heart surgeon who performed CPR on Tom at the crash site.
