Getting to America’s Cup World Series

The main viewing area for the races is the America’s Cup Village at Marina Green. The San Francisco Municipal Transporta­tion Agency says that transit, biking and walking will be the best ways to get there. TRANSIT

Within San Francisco: Service will be boosted over the weekend, when crowds are expected, on: The F historic streetcar line, the 22-Fillmore, 28-19th Avenue, 30Stockton, 43-Masonic and 47-Van Ness lines. Muni will run a new E-line on Saturday and Sunday, using historic streetcars, between the Caltrain station at Fourth and King streets and Fisherman’s Wharf. The PresidiGo shuttle and Golden Gate Transit line 4 will also carry passengers between downtown San Francisco and the northern waterfront area.

From the Peninsula or South Bay: Take Caltrain to the San Francisco terminal at Fourth and King streets, transfer to Muni’s new E-line, the 30-Stockton or 47-Van Ness. From northern San Mateo County: Take BART to 16th Street Mission Station and transfer to Muni’s 22 bus line; to Civic Center Station and catch the 47 or 47L; to Powell Station and take the cable car or F-line; to Montgomery Station and ride the 30, 30L or the F-line, or to Embarcader­o Station and transfer to the E, F, Golden Gate Transit line 4 or PresidiGo shuttle DT.

From the East Bay: Take BART, AC Transit transbay buses or the Alameda/ Oakland Ferry, From the Ferry Building, catch the E or F lines; from the temporary Transbay Terminal, take Golden Gate Transit line 4 or PresidiGo shuttle DT; from BART, transfer to the lines above.

From the North Bay: Take Golden Gate Transit buses and ferries. From the Ferry Building, take the lines above. Bus riders can transfer at the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza to Muni line 28 or PresidiGo shuttle CF.

From Vallejo: Take BayLink Ferry to the Ferry Building and take the lines above.

DRIVING

Drivers will be directed to eight parking areas at locations served by Muni lines with added service: UCSF Parnassus campus, University of San Francisco, 12th and Kissling streets, Civic Center, Fifth and Mission streets, AT&T Parking Lot A, Performing Arts Garage and UCSF Mission Bay campus.

BICYCLING

The Embarcader­o and Polk Street are recommende­d bike routes. Bike lanes will be set up along the Embarcader­o on Saturday and Sunday only.
