Stanford easily beats Hawaii

Chiney Ogwumike had 15 points and 17 rebounds and the No. 4 Stanford women beat Hawaii 69-42 on Saturday night.

The Cardinal (4-0) dominated one night after upsetting No. 1 Baylor at the start of the Rainbow Wahine tournament in Honolulu, never trailing the host team.

Ogwumike was one of four players with doubledigi­t points for Stanford. Joslyn Tinkle scored 16 points, Amber Orrange had 13 and Toni Kokenis had 12.

Stanford scored 14 unanswered points midway through the first half and led by 18 at the break.

Freshman Ashleigh Karaitiana scored 14 points for Hawaii (1-2).
