Passed away peacefully, November 11, 2012, at the age of 86. Santino leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Eleanor; sons David (Edna) and Paul; adoring grandchild­ren Clarina, Christian, and Dave. Santino is also survived by his brother Victor (Mary), Nephew Tony, niece Christina, and brother-in-law Albert Figone. Santino was born September 18, 1926 in Genoa, Italy to Vittorio and Assunta and emigrated to the United States in 1929. Settling in San Francisco. He grew up in Visitation Valley and attended Saint Ignatius High School. He was a veteran of WWII, United States Navy, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. As a teenager, Santino worked alongside his father in the nursery business. He then spent the next 60 years, the last 50 as owner of Tropical California Inc., a wholesale flower company, working in the industry he loved. The family would like to thank Dr. Damon Lee for the outstandin­g care he provided to our father over the years; and our deepest appreciati­on and thanks to Caroline, his caregiver, for her compassion, care, and joy she gave to our father during her time with him. Family and friends may visit Sunday, November 18, after 3pm and are invited to attend a Rosary Service 7:00 PM at Duggans Serra Mortuary 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. The funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, November 19, 11:30am at Holy Angels Church 107 San Pedro Rd, Colma, Committal Italian
