91, of San Francisco, died of respirator­y failure on October 20th at St. Mary’s Hospital. Born on Feb. 1, 1921 to (the late) James Elwood Gates and Phoebe Isabelle (Martin) Gates in Monroe Township, Ohio, Jane was the youngest of eight children (all predecease­d her). She graduated from Monroe High School (1939) and business college in Dayton. She married the late Eugene Clemens, relocated to Denver and had three children: Michael (Carol) of Midland (both deceased), Steven (Jenifer) of Denver and Candy of San Francisco. Divorced in 1955, she moved to San Francisco and later married Leonard Lundgren (who predecease­d her). She is survived by two grandchild­ren, Jesica (Michael) of Las Vegas and Amelia of Dana Point, two stepgrandc­hildren, and two stepgreat grandchild­ren, as well as other loving nieces and nephews. Even while bedfast she actively maintained her friendship­s through calls and correspond­ence, possessing a keen mind and courageous sense of humor. Her caregivers were devoted and became cherished friends. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2 pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, followed by interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1000 El Camino Real, Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to Ware’s Chapel UMC, 1060 Foos Road, West Manchester, OH 45382, or National Jewish Health, Attn Joy/Memorial Dept., P.O.
