KleenSpeed Technologies is set to reveal the KleenSpeed World KAR prototype at the San Francisco International Auto Show. The KleenSpeed KAR is the result of more than four years of intensive R&D development and innovation in energy storage and battery management systems by the company’s engineering team. Featuring the KleenSpeed GenESSys 40 kWh “Smart” battery, the KAR delivers real-world range of up to 150 miles per charge with exceptional performance. The KAR’s stylish body offers space for two passengers, with useful cargo capacity.
The KleenSpeed/scrambls EV-X11 all-electric race car will be on display at the show, fresh from a remarkable 2012 season with an outright win in the ReFuel EV Challenge’s open EV class at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in July, and the establishment of a new open class EV lap record at Sonoma Raceway at the Accelerating Sustainable Performance Summit in September.
