Losing our kids to tech gadgets
So the latest scheme is marketing tech devices to toddlers? (“Kid devices designed to bring them online,” Business, Sept. 6).
What’s next, implanting a gadget in utero? Obviously, profit is the bottom line, not the education of these babies and young children.
How will sitting quietly under a tree with a book be enough to enthrall them? Or drawing a picture with crayon for doting grandparents? Or digging in the sand on a real beach, not poking at an image on some electronic pad?
Heaven forbid toddlers should be “texting” while “strolling.”
