Morally bankrupt

“$1,000 pill is going to bankrupt us,” (Insight, Aug. 4) has already morally bankrupted our society. When a drug company has found not just a treatment but a cure for a potentially deadly disease and then makes that drug prohibitively expensive, why is Paul Markovich so worried about the money? He should be asking what kind of society would essentially withhold that treatment from all those who could benefit. It’s a cure!
