The Pirates of Penzance: Lamplighte­rs Music Theatre opens its 62nd season of Gilbert & Sullivan treasures with one of the comic opera geniuses’ most enduringly popular delights, the tuneful tale of poor wand’ring Frederic, trapped in pirate apprentice­ship and yearning with love for the daughter of the self-styled model of a modern major general.
