Dr. Dean James Deranieri

Oct. 8, 1964 – Sept. 8, 2014 Resident of Millbrae

Surrounded by his loving family, Dr. Dean J. DeRanieri passed away in San Francisco Monday evening, September 8th. He was 49 years old.

Dean was born October 8, 1964 in Burlingame to Dino and Gabriella DeRanieri.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Dina and his adoring children, Gianna - 14, Bianca12, Carina -9 and Dino -7, his parents, his sister Gina Wiebe and her husband Rich, and his sister Dana DeRanieri.

Treasured son-in-law of Marie Rinetti and the late William Rinetti. Brother-in Law to Nancy Fitzgerald and her husband Tim, Bill Rinetti and his wife Marta, David Rinetti and his wife Adrienne. Loving uncle of Brian Wiebe, Abrianna DeRanieri, Kevin and Kelly Fitzgerald.

Dean was a graduate of St. Mary’s College and Creighton University School of Dentistry. He practiced general dentistry for 23 years in South San Francisco including pro bono dental work for veterans and clergy.

Dean loved his family, the outdoors, his Country and those who defend it. He enjoyed a variety of creative hobbies that included smoking meat, building pizza ovens, hunting and creating special “drinkable concoctions”. He was known for his strong friendships, irreverent sense of humor and his welcoming hospitality, always offering his signature cocktails.

Friends and family are invited to a funeral mass celebrating Dean’s life, to be held at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame CA on Monday September 15th at 7:00 pm.
