Dolores M. Lydon

Of San Rafael, died at home at the age of 87, January 23, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Lydon, who died in 1996. She was a native of San Francisco, and graduate of Lincoln High School. Joe and Dolores moved their family to San Rafael in 1953.

She is also preceded in death by her son Michael J. Lydon(beloved husband of Heidi Lydon, Chico, CA).

Dolores is survived by her two daughters, Linda A. Hunt(Pliny Hunt,dcsd) of

Housatonic, MA, and Patricia M. Myers(Art Myers) of Spirit Lake, ID and two sons, Edward J. Lydon(Richere Lydon) of Fairfield, CA, and James A. Lydon(Debbie Lydon) of Novato, CA. She is also survived by 15 grandchild­ren and 13 great grandchild­ren.

She and her husband owned Lydon’s Marin Orthopedic on Fourth Street in San Rafael for twenty years.

She was also employed at Macy’s San Rafael, and Fire- man’s Fund in San Rafael.

She was a past President of the San Rafael Goldenaire­s. Also a member of Marin Rod and Gun Club, Packards Internatio­nal, Sons of Italy Lodge #1969, and Marin Chapter of AARP #4139. As the mother of five children she was a long time member of the Mother’s Guild of St. Raphael’s School.

Rosary will be held Thursday, Feb. 5th, 7:00 pm, Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Avenue, San Anselmo, CA 94960.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Feb. 6th, 10:00 am, St. Anselm’s Church, 97 Shady Lane, Ross, CA 94957. Cemetery service will be immediatel­y following, Mt Olivet Cemetery, 270 Los Ranchitos Rd, San Rafael, CA 94903.
