Frank Sabella

Francesco Sabella passed away peacefully on January 26, 2015, at the age of 102. Frank was born to Luciano and Angelina Scafani Sabella of Sciacca, Sicily. He was one of 12 children born and delivered in the family home on Francisco Street in San Francisco.

Frank was a loving brother, father, grandfathe­r, and great grandfathe­r to his family. He will be fondly missed by his loving daughter Angela Peterson (Mylo) and son Frank Sabella Jr, as well as, grandchild­ren Darice Sabella, Gina LaRocca (Mike), Frank Sabella, Connie Sabella, Mike Peterson (Denise), Frank Peterson (Thyra), Kristina Peterson (Don McFarland) and Diane Peterson, his 14 great grandchild­ren, and his only surviving sibling, Vivian Seaman. He was blessed to live with his daughter, Angela and her husband Mylo, for the past 28 years.

Frank is now reunited with his beautiful wife Constance Monoguerra Sabella, his son Richard Sabella, and 10 brothers and sisters. Frank owned and operated one of the first restaurant­s establishe­d on Fisherman’s Wharf (1927) that is still in existence, Sabella and LaTorre Restaurant. Frank’s loves were his wife and entire family, his restaurant, golf, the horse track, and the movies. He had a multitude of good friends, who along with his family members were recipients of his endless love, generosity, good will and kindness. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. In celebratio­n of his life, friends are invited to attend a vigil at 7PM on February 6, 2015, at St Isabella’s Church, 1 Trinity Way, San Rafael CA 94903. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30AM February 7, 2015, at St Peter and Paul Church, 666 Filbert Street, San Francisco, CA 94133. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Rd. Colma, CA 94014. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Keaton’s Mortuary entrusted with arrangemen­ts.
