Angelo Maraccini

July 31, 1936 - April 19, 2015

Angelo Mario Maraccini beloved husband of 58 years to his dedicated surviving wife Mary; faithful son to predeceased, parents Charles and Agnes Maraccini and loyal brother to Leo and Vera; will be deeply missed. His legacy will be forever in our hearts: a devoted father to Lynne and Gary, Joe and Maureen, and John and Debbie; a loving grandfather to Matthew and Katilin, Jason and Lora, Amanda and Erick, Deanna, Daniel, Nicholette, and Savannah; blessed great grandfather to Garrett.

Angelo, lovingly remembered by his family and friends, went home to meet our Heavenly Father on April 19, 2015, was born July 31, 1936 in San Francisco and has resided in Concord with his family since 1966. Angelo was a respected and faithful worker of the phone company for 58 years, beginning his career the day after he graduated from high school in 1955. Angelo was an avid Giants fan, with a passion for baseball since he was a young boy. He was a gifted pitcher for Mission High School and was inducted in their hall of fame in 1994. As an adult, Angelo mentored and coached many growing athletes including his sons, Joe and John.

The family would like to thank the staff at Montecito, especially those in “Traditions”, and the hospice care of Vitas, for their loving attention given to Angelo and his family during his stay; their kindness was a treasured gift.

Vigil Service on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 4: 00pm and Funeral Liturgy on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11: 00am; both services at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 860 Oak Grove Road, Concord, followed by final resting rite at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
