Yes, the Apple has landed — alas, a few hours too late to check your pulse during Thursday’s Golden State Warriors game — and all sorts of other things did happen over the last week (or didn’t, if you’re Comcast): The Ellen Pao case took a little financial twist:

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the venture capital firm she used to work for, wants her to pay its legal fees of $972,815 from her unsuccessf­ul sexual harassment lawsuit, but said it will drop the request if she chooses not to appeal.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos doesn’t need no stinking watches. The company’s stock jumped more than 14 percent Friday, the day after its earnings report showed that its sales grew and that it is getting a lot stronger in cloud computing. According to Forbes’ real-time list of the world’s billionair­es Friday, he jumped to No. 9 on the list, bringing in $4.6 billion for the day.

Streaming video might well be spring’s hot item, but making sense of what’s out there is almost like going through the Internet without Google or Yahoo or even Bing. But some sites are helping you find what Periscope and Meerkat have to offer. Finally, we’re wrapping up Distracted Driver Awareness Month, so if you see hashtags like #DDAM and #ItCanWait, that’s why.
