Pat died peacefully on April 23, 2015, in his home, surrounded by family. He was 94 years old. He is now reunited with his wife, Maxine, married 56 years. Pat was a proud father of four: Kathy Childs (Alan), Patty O’Neil (Tom Burgei), Eileen Hinch (Steve), and Tim O’Neil (Margaret); devoted grandfathe­r of ten: Pati Lopez, Laura Sechrist, Nicolas Lopez, Morgan Hinch-Wood, Mike Stine, Bryan Lopez, Sean O’Neil, Kevin O’Neil, Ryann Hinch, and Megan O’Neil; and great grandfathe­r of three: Aaron Anaya, Alexandra and Kylie Sechrist. He also leaves behind his dear friend, Jane Thompson.

Graduate of Washington State University in Mechanical Engineerin­g. Longtime parishione­r of Saint Bartholome­w Catholic Church and active member of St. Vincent de Paul and El Camino A’s Model A Club. Proudly served in the US Army Air Force 1942 – 1945, where he piloted B17 bombers on many missions over Europe. Worked 23 years for General Electric and 16 years for Exxon in engineerin­g, project management, and business leadership roles. He was a loving friend to many and we appreciate the kind support of neighbors over the past few years. Many thanks to his caregivers over the last three years, especially Dennis and Vick.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Rosary and Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at St. Bartholome­w Church. Viewing at 10:00 AM, Rosary at 10:30 AM, Funeral at 11:00 AM, followed by Burial at Skylawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul or the charity of your choice.
