Alyssa Berwick downplays the role she and husband Mark Berwick played for nearly 20 years as owners of 514 Funston Ave. in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco. “Some of the best parts of the home are things I can’t take credit for,” she said. “For instance, it has great bones and incredible curb appeal. I still remember being struck by it the first time I approached 17 years ago.”

“It’s naturally a beautiful home,” Alyssa Berwick said.

“We just wanted to make it a more livable space,” Alyssa Berwick said. “The room was there, it just wasn’t organized or finished.”

The remodeled eat-in kitchen serves as an entertainment hub and casual dining area thanks to a built-in banquette.
