Anita is predecease­d by her husband Gilbert Wong. She is survived by her loving sons Glenn & Craig Wong; caring daughters in-law Jennifer Yuan & Teresa Wong; cherished grandchild­ren Miranda, Bailey & Megan. Anita is lovingly remembered by brothers Raymond Dick, Roland Dick, (late) Donald Dick & Sabina Dick, Edwin & Fanny Dick, sister June & Hanson Won, along with many loving nieces & nephews. Anita is predecease­d by her parents Henry & Annie Dick.

Funeral services will be held at Cypress Lawn Funeral Home 1370 El Camino Real, Colma CA 94014, 650-755-0580.

Wake (full viewing) will be on Thursday 05/21/15 from 5-8 PM

Funeral on Monday 5/25/15 at 10 AM.

Passed away peacefully at the age 83, May 10, 2015.

Anita was a native of New York - born & raised August 26, 1931.

She attended Washington Irving High School and Clerical College in New York. Around 1955, she planned a summer vacation to San Francisco with her girlfriend­s where she met her husband Gilbert Wong & married in 1957. She was crowned as one of the 1st San Francisco’s Miss Chinatown USA pageant. She dedicated herself early on in raising 2 sons & keeping the family in tune. She worked/ volunteere­d at her children’s school before working for San Mateo City Hall as an Executive Administra­tor for several years before retiring. After retiring she became a well known local self-made artist (aka Li Har) & was good enough to start some private tutoring lessons . She was a very creative, spontaneou­s & a crazy (good) person that loved to laugh & have fun, but really cared for others more than herself. She tried several different art mediums such as creating her own line of jewelry displayed at the Nordstrom Store. She enjoyed volunteeri­ng at kids school functions, face paintings, etc... With her art work she won many local awards, but her most honored & proudest award was the prestigiou­s “Grumbacher” Award. She went on to become a family celebrity appearing on a few local television shows notably Evening Magazine
