The new moon keynotes Leo just as lucky Jupiter settles into Virgo for a yearlong stay. Look forward to a year of refinement and self-improvement. Virgo is a practical sign with a genius for planning things in careful steps. You’ll adapt easily to circumstance and make discerning choices.

Aries (March 20-April 18) Though the new moon has a creative suggestion regarding a playtime activity, Jupiter is all business where a health/work issue is concerned. Best call in an exorcist because, once resolved, this matter works for you in a lucky way.

Taurus (April 19-May 19) Jupiter does the domination thing in your fun sector while a fateful new moon sheds unexpected insight concerning your home situation. Try to accept difficult family members.

Gemini (May 20-June 20) Friday’s new moon accents your strong suit: communication. It’s a promising omen for the arrival of Jupiter, the luck bringer, into your home and family sector.

Cancer (June 21-July 21) Do not ask for whom the bell tolls, just pick up the phone. (It’s called networking.) A ring-a-dingy to the right person can change your life. What’s all this delayed-gratification jazz? You Cancers want what you want when you want it.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) In the past 12 months, many Lions have become household names. All of you have felt your power bases grow along with your bank accounts. You can no doubt see what an important year this has been.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Surely (hopefully?) you’re aware that the year of the Virgo is upon us. Jupiter, Mr. Lucky himself, has settled in your sign for the rest of this year and way into the next. Better believe you’ll be in a better place come the fall of 2017.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) You’re an antsy understudy waiting in the wings. You know something fabulous is about to happen. But what? And when? Consider the next 13 months as prep time — which isn’t to say that good things won’t happen sooner.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Professional connections loom large as Jupiter switches gears in your friendship house. It’s that old “not what you know but whom” thing. Scorpio charisma weighs in as you use the “old boy network” to pull together this year’s gains.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) With Jupiter (Mr. Growth) finally doing the CEO thing in your fame house, the year’s end looks fabulous. Sajs rule! You won’t want to deny yourself anything. Try not to get caught ... but if you do, smile pretty.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 18) Ding! Dong! Cosmos calling! Jupiter illuminates your “higher self ” for the next 13 moonths. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but you’ll need to address a gap in your education. Travel to a class or seminar is involved.

Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 17) If you didn’t strengthen a significant bond while Jupiter was tossing thunderbolts around your one-on-one sector, his shift into the house of other peoples’ resources promises to do the trick.

Pisces (Feb. 18-March 19) Don’t look now, but Jupiter, the planetary star maker, has just set up his casting couch in your one-on-one house. Contracts — romantic, business or both — are (or about to) play at a theater near you. Q: My Virgo life (love and social) has been ho-hum for a few years now. Any changes on the horizon? A: Happy days are here again! (Or soon will be.) Jupiter has just bolted into your sign, ensuring that the next 13 months will be rewarding both socially and romantically. Think back to 200304 and you’ll get an inkling of the fun and lucky days ahead.
