David Nobleza passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. His light heartedness, jovial manner and effervescent presence will be missed by so many.

Dave was born in San Francisco. The death of his father forced him to become the man of the house at an early age. That sense of duty and responsibility became the cornerstone of David, the man. He was a basketball standout at San Francisco’s Polytechnic High School, winning the 1946 City Championship and selected to Polytechnic’s Hall of Fame in 1996. He continued his love of sports throughout his life. Playing racquetball well into his eighties Dave has won numerous awards including the Silicon Valley Senior Games.

David is survived by Graci, his loving wife of 54 years. Dave is also survived by the many friends he’s met along the way. He brightened the days of countless acquaintances he met just about everywhere he went. And he made lifelong friends, whether it was in the course of his automotive tire business, at the Los Gatos Elks Lodge, on the racquetball courts throughout Northern California or even in the dentist’s office. His joy of life he so freely shared with the love of his life, Graci, and his many friends is his enduring legacy.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service followed by a reception on August 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 219 Bean St. in Los Gatos. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Fisher House Foundation and Homes for Our Troops.
