Rachael Zeh Mc Bride, age 29, passed away on 9/16/2015 in Citrus Heights, CA. She is survived by her mother Patricia Mc Bride, of Oakland, CA; her sister Mollyrose Mc Bride, of Madrid, Spain; maternal grandparen­ts James G.B. and Mary C. De Martini of Foster City, CA numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins across the country.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Joseph Scott Mc Bride, of Hillsborou­gh, CA; and her paternal grand parents Max E. and Jeannette F. Mc Bride, of Fresno, CA.

Rachael was born and raised on the SF peninsula town of Hillsborou­gh, CA. She attended local grammer and high schools, and went on to San Francisco City College and SFSU. Rachael completed degrees in Phlebotomy and cosmetolog­y. Rachael loved her work with patients at the Haight Street Free Clinic, and balanced the work by “doing hair” because it was creative, and made her so happy. She was generally loved and embraced by everyone who knew her. Rachael deeply loved family, and adopted many extended additions to her family circle over the years. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Her empathy and genuine love of others was her hallmark characteri­stic.

Rachael was a kind and true friend to people and animals alike. She was always willing to lend a hand in caring for children, and her passionate stance on animal rights issues never went unheard. She was a devoted cat -mother to Shiro. Where there was water, you could always find Rachael. She loved the ocean and beach at the end of her block on Noriega Street in San Francisco. She knew every dog along the walk, and generally spent her free time near the water. Rachael will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit and love will live on in all who’s lives she touched.

Private services will be held by the family.
