My All American: The story of Freddie Joe Steinmark, who, after helping the University of Texas football team to a national championsh­ip in 1969, discovers that he has a malignant tumor. Love the Coopers: Olivia Wilde, Amanda Seyfried, Marisa Tomei and Diane Keaton headline this Christmas movie about a family called — you guessed it — the Coopers.

Spotlight: An ensemble cast that includes Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber and Mark Ruffalo as reporters and editors of the Boston Globe take on the Catholic Church. Heart of a Dog: Laurie Anderson looks at life and death through her remembranc­es of her dog Lolabelle. There’s real footage and imagined footage. What Our Fathers Did: A Nazi Legacy: So your dad worked for Hitler? Two sons talk to a human rights lawyer about their fathers, who were indicted Nazi war criminals.
