Update: After winning only one race last week, trainer Jerry Hollendorf­er enters this week with 6,997 career victories. He won’t get No. 7,000 Thursday, because he has only one horse entered each at Golden Gate Fields and Del Mar. He has four entrants in three races at GGF and two entrants at Del Mar on Friday and six entrants in five races at GGF and two in one race at Del Mar on Saturday. Only the late Dale Baird (9,445 winners) and Steve Asmussen (7,154) are ahead of Hollendorf­er on the all-time list. ... Nomination­s close Thursday for two stakes Thanksgivi­ng weekend: the $50,000-added Golden Gate Debutante on Nov. 28 and the Grade 3, $100,000 Berkeley Handicap on Nov. 29. ... Jockey Juan Hernandez begins a five-day suspension Saturday for interferen­ce aboard Venetian Mask in the seventh race Friday.

Elsewhere: Exaggerato­r, who finished fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, is the 2-to-1 morning-line favorite for the Delta Jackpot. The 11⁄16-mile race also includes Found Money, who finished second to undefeated Smokey Image in his previous two starts. ... Hollendorf­er entered horses in three stakes Wednesday at Zia Park in Hobbs, N.M.: Never Ends in the $300,000 Zia Park Oaks, Point Piper in the $150,000 Zia Park Championsh­ip Handicap and Oligarch in the $100,000 Zia Park Sprint.
