Sunday’s game

THINGS TO WATCH

1. Fit to be tied: The Warriors have a chance to tie the 1948 Washington Capitols and the 1993 Houston Rockets for the league’s best start. The Warriors are one of only five teams in league history to open a season with 14 wins. 2. Altitude attitude: Denver has been a tough place for the Warriors to play, as evidenced by losing 17 of their past 21 regular-season games there. Mix in the loss of an hour, the long bus ride from the airport to downtown and the altitude, and there have been Warriors teams that were beaten before ever arriving at Pepsi Center. 3. Turn (over) the corner: Stephen Curry has committed 20 turnovers over his past three games — so many that Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joked Friday night about how much the point guard owes his mother. The MVP averaged only 3.1 turnovers during the season’s first 11 games. 4. Point of return: Going back to Denver isn’t quite like returning to Philadelphia, where Warriors sixth man Andre Iguodala played his first eight seasons. But the Nuggets’ fans do get on Iguodala, who was dealt from Denver to the Warriors as part of a three-team, sign-and-trade deal in 2013. 5. Main dishes: The Warriors set a franchise record by dishing out 28 assists on 30 made field goals during the first half of their Nov. 6 victory over Denver. The Nuggets’ franchise-record for assists came in 1989, when they piled up 52 helpers against the Warriors.
