UCLA moves closer to title game

-

UCLA freshman Josh Rosen threw for 220 yards and a touchdown and the visiting Bruins beat No. 18 Utah 17-9 on Saturday to move one game closer to the Pac-12 championship game.

The Bruins (8-3, 5-3 Pac-12) can earn a berth in the conference title game for the first time since 2012 with a win over USC next week. UCLA hasn’t won the Pac-12 crown since 1998.

The Bruins scored touchdowns on two long drives to start the first and third quarters, and that was enough against the short-handed Utes. Utah running back Devontae Booker is out for the remainder of the regular season after having knee surgery Thursday.

Joe Williams ran for 121 yards to lead Utah (8-3, 5-3).
