Stabbing attack wounds 4 in Israel
A stabbing attack Saturday night in southern Israel wounded four people, two of them seriously, police said. The stabbing appears to be ideologically driven, said police spokeswoman Luba Samri. Officers searched the city of Kiryat Gat for the attacker. In the past two months, Palestinian attacks have killed 17 Israelis, mostly in stabbings, while 84 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire. The violence began over tensions surrounding a Jerusalem holy site.
