Of Larkspur, California passed away peacefully on November 18, 2015 at the age of 75. In losing John, we are deprived of his infinite wit, wisdom, and commentary. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on November 12, 1940, the fourth of seven surviving children. He grew up in Brick Township, New Jersey, yet his desire to escape from the cold and snow, led to his moving to California over 50 years ago. In the tradition of his father and grandfathe­r, he was a printer by trade and ran The Cloister Press, Inc., in San Francisco with his wife of 44 years, Nancy Farley. An avid sailor and racer, John sailed his boat Zephyrus in and around the Bay Area for more than two decades. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Shannon
