Walter Munz
July 30, 1941 - November 15, 2015
Walter was also a renowned wine enthusiast, recognized by a great many people for his palate and professionalism. He was loved and treasured by his many friends.

Walter was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, where he became an accomplished pastry chef. He moved to the United States in 1967, first to New Orleans and in 1969 to San Francisco, where he lived the rest of his life. His first job in San Francisco was as Executive Pastry Chef at the Bohemian Club. He also worked at the Pacific Union Club for several years before opening his own business selling his desserts.
Walter is survived by his brother Max, sisters Anette Kern-Munz and Edith Baltensperger-Munz, nieces and nephews, all living in the Zurich area.
He was an active member and past president of the Golden Gate Swiss Club.
