It’s turkey time and guess who’s coming to dinner! The sun joins Mercury at Sagittarius’ table this week. But with Saturn also on board, one could easily OD on both food and family. Mercury is a facile fellow but also a trickster. Don’t detour on the way to Grandma’s house.

Aries (March 20-April 18) A Mercury-sun duo triggers your longing for adventure. Are travel plans brewing? Aren’t they always? Expansive Jupiter — the cosmic Santa — continues to empower your health center, well into 2016.

Taurus (April 19-May 19) Look forward to high times and adult situations. The Thanksgiving Fairy, or some such, nods encouragement as your popularity quotient soars. Enjoy a lively holiday. Naughty? Nice? With Jupiter in your fun house, it’s your call, Taurbabe.

Gemini (May 20-June 20) Oh, happy day! Jupiter in your home center promises to be good to you. Add to this a positive spin from the sun and Mercury in your one-on-one house. Count your doubloons, pray to the Great Turkey, then go buy something outrageous.

Cancer (June 21-July 21) Does the most home-centered, family-oriented sign in the cosmos groove on Thanksgiving? Duh! Just be certain that the “giving” part goes both ways. Once again the reminder: True thankfulness comes from nurturing yourself along with your table mates.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) You Lions have the groaning board, family table thing down to a science. You’re so cool. Who would suspect that the Ghost of Leo Past is once again a secret table mate?

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) As Thanksgiving approaches, you’ve lots to gobble about. The star at your table is Jupiter — planet of luck and development. Looking back, you’ll see 2015 as a good year. Better yet, 2016 promises even more personal triumphs.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Once again action centers on your personal charm and chat room. The right words (thank you?) to the right person can generate something to be really thankful for. Jupiter — the cosmic Santa Claus — will enter your sign in 2016.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Every day in every way life gets better and better. How can it be otherwise with Saturn finally out of your sign? Expect closures and/or contracts that eluded you in 2015 to come together now.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) The Mercury buzz soon to hit your sign is your kind of thing: smart and trendy. But for now, consider where you’ve been versus where you want to go. Some say that Saturn transits (like you’re having) are the cosmos’ way of teaching us patience.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 18) With the newly ensconced sun and Mercury facing off against Saturn, Thanksgiving will be a mixed bag. It’s happy birthday time. On the downside, with Saturn for a house guest, you deserve all the TLC you can stage-manage.

Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 17) You may not know it, but Sobriety Claus is a bit of a fussbudget. The power behind the toy pack hasn’t much patience with those who don’t help themselves. Make a decision about where and how you live.

Pisces (Feb. 18-March 19) Once again you’re tapped to be the designated homemaker. As such, the true meaning of Thanksgiving won’t kick in until the last dish is put away. Just make certain that Santa is not only watching but has his list out.

Q: I was born 1/8/59. I’ve been depressed and miserable all of my life. I have been unlucky in both love and work. A: I’m sorry that you’re feeling so bad about life — Capricorns do experience extreme down times. For many, the holidays intensify depression. Such a contrast between real life and the ideal. Look ahead: 2016 will be sparked by travel and new ideas, and 2017 promises to be a big one for you.
