-

Rosco Allen scored 17 points — hitting four three-pointers — and Reid Travis added 14 as Stanford returned from a 15day break in its schedule with a 64-50 homecourt victory over Dartmouth on Saturday night.

The Cardinal (4-3) led by 13 at halftime and as many as 18 midway through the second half before Dartmouth came back, drawing to 55-47 on Miles Wright’s three-pointer with 5:40 remaining. Stanford’s Christian Sanders made two free throws a minute later to restore a double-digit lead, and the Big Green (3-4) did not get closer the rest of the way. They did not score again until Ike Ngwudo hit a three-pointer with nine seconds left.

Marcus Allen added 12 points for the Cardinal (4-3), who have won two in a row since a three-game slide.

Connor Boehm scored 11 points to lead Dartmouth. Santa Clara 73, Pacific Union 66: Nate Kratch and Jared Brownridge combined for 49 points to help the host Broncos subdue the NAIA Pioneers. Brownridge scored 10 of his 25 points in the final five minutes after Pacific Union had tied the score 59-59. His back-to-back baskets ignited a 10-0 run for the Broncos, who have won three straight after starting the season with seven losses. Kratch had 18 rebounds in addition to his 24 points. The Pioneers’ Mike Hill led all scorers with 34 points.
