Celtics rally, top Clippers in OT

Isaiah Thomas had 36 points, including a fadeaway jumper that sent the game to an extra period, and 11 assists to help the Boston Celtics overtake the Los Angeles Clippers 139- 134 in overtime Wednesday night.

Jared Sullinger added 21 points and 11 rebounds for host Boston, which played the second half without big man Kelly Olynyk. He left late in the first half with a bruised right shoulder.

The Clippers led by five late in regulation but went without a field goal for more than three minutes.

Chris Paul led the Clippers with 35 points and 13 assists. J. J. Redick added 27 points, and DeAndre Jordan finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds.

Trail Blazers 116, Rockets

103: Damian Lillard sparked a second- quarter outburst and finished with 31 points and nine assists for Portland. Maurice Harkless set season highs with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the host Blazers, who moved past Houston into a tie for seventh place in the West. James Harden had 34 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds for the Rockets.

Cavaliers 120, Lakers 111: Kyrie Irving scored a seasonhigh 35 points and LeBron James 29 for host Cleveland. Kevin Love left the floor late in the second quarter with pain in his left arm, but he said after the game it was just a “stinger” and he wouldn’t miss any time. Lou Williams scored 28 to lead Los Angeles.

Spurs 98, Magic 96: Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points and drilled a jumper from the tip of the key with 0.9 on the clock to lift visiting San Antonio. LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points and Patty Mills added 17 points and seven assists for the Spurs. Evan Fournier led Orlando with 28 points. Elfrid Payton missed an open layup at the buzzer that could have tied it.

Kings 114, 76ers 110: DeMarcus Cousins had 28 points and 12 rebounds, and Darren Collison scored 21 of his 25 points after halftime to lead Sacramento to a comeback victory on the road. Robert Covington scored a career- high 29 points for Philadelph­ia.

Hawks 113, Bulls 90: Dennis Schroder had 18 points and hit three of Atlanta’s 13 threepoint­ers. The Hawks led by five at halftime and broke it open in the third quarter, sending the sloppy Bulls to their fourth straight loss. Pau Gasol had 20 points and 10 rebounds for host Chicago.

Wolves 117, Raptors 112: Karl- Anthony Towns had 35 points and 11 rebounds, and host Minnesota came back from 18 points down. Andrew Wiggins scored 13 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter. DeMar DeRozan scored 35 points for Toronto.

Pelicans 100, Jazz 96: Anthony Davis capped a 19- point night with a running lefthanded hook and three- pointer in the final minute, and host New Orleans snapped Utah’s seven- game winning streak. Jrue Holiday scored 21 points for the Pelicans. Derrick Favors scored 29 and Gordon Hayward 21 for Utah.

Grizzlies 109, Nets 90: Mike Conley scored 20 points, Jeff Green had 12 of his 18 in the third quarter, and Memphis won in Brooklyn in its first game since losing Marc Gasol to a broken right foot. The Grizzlies made seven threepoint­ers in a 39- point third quarter that blew open the game. Brook Lopez led Brooklyn with 20 points.

Nuggets 103, Pistons 92: Will Barton scored 15 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, and visiting Denver held off Detroit, which was without three starters. Andre Drummond had 15 points and 17 rebounds for the Pistons but shot 7- of- 22 from the field.

Hornets 117, Pacers 95: Kemba Walker scored 25 points and Jeremy Lamb had 16 as suddenly surging Charlotte rolled to a victory on the road. Six players scored in double figures for the Hornets, who won their third straight. Paul George led Indiana with 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Coach’s wife killed: The wife of Oklahoma City Thunder assistant coach Monty Williams has died from injuries suffered in a car crash. Ingrid Williams, 44, was struck Tuesday night just outside downtown Oklahoma City when an oncoming car crossed the center line.
